Milagro is a charitable foundation that supports underrepresented and underprivileged children and youth in the areas of arts, education and health. The foundation makes grants to community-based, grass- roots organizations that work with children and youth, especially those at risk and disadvantaged due to such factors as poor health, illiteracy, or insufficient educational and cultural opportunities. The foundation reviews grants two months in advance of their February, June, and October board meetings. Most grants are between $2,500 and $5,000. GTECH -- After School Advantage Program
GTECH’s After School Advantage Program is a national community investment program, which provides non-profit community agencies with state-of-the-art computer labs. These Computer Centers are designed to provide inner-city children aged five to 15 with a meaningful, yet fun, learning experience during the critical after-school hours, in a safe environment. The initiative is meant to provide an otherwise unavailable educational experience and bridge the digital divide among at-risk children.
