RIASPA Welcomes New Board Member!


RIASPA is pleased to announce that Terese “Terry” Curtin, Executive Director of Connecting for Children and Families in Woonsocket, has agreed to join RIASPA's Board of Directors. Terry has held her Executive Director position for the past 12 years. Connecting for Children and Families is a community-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of family and community life in Woonsocket. A native of Rhode Island, Ms. Curtin received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rhode Island and a Master of Social Work degree from Boston University, with a concentration in community organizing, management and planning. Previous positions include Youth Development Initiative Coordinator for the United Way of Southeastern New England, Victims of Crime Act Coordinator for the Rhode Island Justice Commission, and Director of Community Partnership for Substance Abuse Prevention for the cities of Central Falls and Pawtucket. Ms Curtin has been actively involved in several community organizations, including Rhode Island Chapter—National Association of Social Workers, Progreso Latino, the Cumberland Public Library, and the Rhode Island Advisory Commission on Women. We look forward to working with Terry!
